Heritage Fiesta to launch

The Heritage Fiesta & Roving Exhibition 2021 will be held from September 1 to December 31, during which 11 revitalisation projects of government-owned historic buildings will offer free guided tours for the public.   The buildings include 10 projects under Batches I to III of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme and PMQ under the Conserving Central initiative. Free guided tours will be provided from September 1 to October 31 on a first-come, first-served basis.   People may also visit the buildings during opening hours and collect uniquely designed stamps.   The Commissioner for Heritage's Office said the revitalisation projects featured in the event showcase the concerted conservation efforts between the Government and non-profit-making organisations.   Some of them have also received honours from the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.   The office encouraged the public to visit and appreciate these historic gems constructed across different times and understand their histories and architectural features.   The roving exhibition will be held at several government venues, public libraries, museums and shopping malls from September 1 to December 31.   Call 2906 1559 for enquiries.
