1 COVID-19 death recorded

The Hospital Authority today said a COVID-19 patient has passed away, taking the number of COVID-19 patients who died in public hospitals to 184.   The 75-year-old female patient with chronic disease had a family member who was confirmed with COVID-19 so she was classified as a close contact.   She was admitted to Caritas Medical Centre with upper respiratory tract infection symptoms and tested positive for the virus on January 22.   As her condition deteriorated, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit the next day. She passed away this morning.
